Little Independence

This morning I was working slowly getting out of bed and getting myself ready. Apparently I was going to slow, becuase I came out and James had gotten breakfast for himself and Millie

Laundry Day

Today was laundry and the kids enjoy it for 2 reasons 1) If we are not going anywhere they can run around naked 2) They loved playing in whatever I am hanging off the clothes line, today it was sheets. I just love these two!! 

Don't worry we did end up getting dressed, and then eating lunch UNDER the picnic table!

Lounging around

You know you should start everyday with a good breakfast. I thought for Millie today that 3 scramble eggs and half of James oatmeal would be sufficient, apparently I was wrong, she also needed cereal (which she could get herself)

 Later that night we enjoying doing nothing outside, I love that the nights are getting a little cooler (like 80's) so that it is comfortable to be outside together!

Oh and yes Millie oftens climbs the slide by herself, and even does a little happy dance when she reaches the top!

Fair Night

We probably picked the worse time to go to the fair. 6:00 on Friday night!! What were we thinking!! But aside from that the kids had fun. We got to walk around and see all the animals. I was surprised at how scared James was the cows, I guess he has never seen one so close. We got to ride a few rides, I can't believe how expensive everything is! It was a great family night outing!!

Swimming

We needed to get out of the house today. Luckily a friend invited us to go swimming. I was a little worried about Millie's face, BUT James loved it and so did Millie.

Poor Millie

Sunday Morning was rough for Millie. She just wanted her dads attention and thought that screaming at his leg was the best thing, well it wasn't. Dad was busy making bacon, and some grease splattered on her face. She has two burns, one on her nose and one above her left eye. Luckily it did not get in her eyes.

First Movie

All summer our movie theater does free movies in the mornings. I have wanted to take James all summer but it never worked out. This morning Jon and I got to take him to his first movie in the theater. He loved it! We saw Epic, and he sat almost the whole time, the last 10 minutes he got kind of squirmy. I just wish it had not whited out his face

Feeding Ducks

We had some moldy bread, So of course we went and fed it to the ducks!! These are domestic geese, so they are mean. They have no problem taking the bread right from your hand. It made James very upset when they stole the bread. 

Freezing Corn

Today is first day of many to canning/ freezing foods. We decided to do corn and did about 25 dozen. Millie (our bottomless pit) eat about 5 ears of corn, raw. I think we are going to go broke trying to feed her!
