One of Jon's bosses at work has a son who guides steel head fishing off the Klickitat River. Jon was so excited to get the chance to go. He and a friend from work Dan Carow left Friday night and camped with their guide Greg. They got up early on Saturday and hit the river. (If Jon would only blog you would get a lot better of a story, but alas you are stuck with me) Jon caught the 1st steel head it took him 10 minutes to bring it in and they chased it 300 yards. He caught two more, but did not land them. Dan also caught one and a lot of trout.
Jon was a little sad that they could not keep any of the steel head they were all wild. The difference is with the hatchery ones they clip the fin. I did not know that.
Jon is itching to go again! And he said I could go too :). We already have some friends and family lining up to go with him!!I can see this becoming at least a yearly tradition.
