Revo Family: 4th Of July Family Vacation

We decided that this year we really needed to make it down to Utah to visit Jon's grandparents. Luckily Jon's brother Nathan called and invited us down for the 4th of July. WE also decided we would hit up every family member we could along the way.

We left on Tuesday, stopped at my brothers house in Baker for lunch. Made it to Burley that night to sleep at my grandparents. The kids loved getting out and running around there. Got up in the morning and finished our last leg to Roy Utah to stay with Jon's brother Nate.

Wednesday afternoon we went to Air Force Museum and lite off some early fireworks. Nate and Jon took all the kids (but Millie) fishing. James loved that he was the only one who caught a fish, even if it was a baby fish. Millie, Maressa and I enjoy the quite and girl talk :) James and Millie loved holding sparklers.

Everyone was tired the next day after staying up late. We had a lazy morning and then went swimming at the local water park. It was small and perfect! We tired for a while to get James to go down the water slide, and he refused. We finally got him to go down and that was all he wanted to do. We enjoyed lunch at the park, and went home and crashed. We all took a small nap before staying up to watch the fireworks.

Again on Friday we all woke up a little tired after staying up late, but the kids were troopers and we traveled down to Springville to see Jon's grandparents. It was a blast to talk and catch up with them. We got to go swimming with them, and they took us out to eat. We left after that and went home and crashed.

Our kids were so tired that we decided Saturday morning that we would just head home. Maressa and I thought it would be great if the boys took the kids fishing before our trip, to get some energy out. No one caught anything, but loved getting out one last time.

Before that we were able to have lunch with an old college friend. The kids took great naps on our way to Boise to have dinner with Jon's sisters house. We got home around 11:30 that night. As fun as this past weekend was it was nice to sleep in our own bed. Overall it was a fast trip, the kids were awesome and great troopers through the whole trip! I hope we get to do it again soon!
