Practice makes Perfect
We are practicing for our 6 months photos. I can not believe he is just days away from being 6 months!! I know I am a little biased but I think some of these turned out great :)

Nothing is safe
James is getting better everyday at moving faster. He is still working on crawling on his knees, but I think he will get that in a few days. His new thing is pulling himself up. He quite enjoys it!
First we practice on something low. This is his walker that is collapsed.
Help! I am in prison :)
Gradually pulling himself up
A little shaky, still trying to get it down
Yes I feel over

Boat Races
This year my parents, Megan and Garrett decided to come up to see the boat races. Jon and I have heard that it is something you at least have to see once. Before the boat races there was an airshow. Mom and I started off the day going to the temple. She has really missed not living as close to a temple. We decided since it was like 100 degrees that we would come late with James and only make it for the boat races. The boys told us how awesome the airshow was, and now I kind of wished that we had made it there.
The boat races were fun, but there was such a long time in between each heat that it kind of got boring. So we did what the Ussery's do great- people watched (thank you Grandpa Winn). Lets just say it was interesting what people walk out of the house in. James and I did not last long, because it was too hot for him, and he could not get a good nap in. So that accounts for my lack in pictures.

When we got home all James wanted to do was play

Green Beans
Our garden has been good to us so far this year. We had so many green beans that it was time to can them. Yes I am growing up, this is my first year canning green beans without my mommy. I just hope they turn out.
James does not realize that when he is older he has no choice but to help us out. He is an eager beaver to get started :)
Yes this is James pulling himself up on the bowl. He is just not satisfied at where he is at. He has to constantly be learning something new. He must get that from Jon (who can never sit still)
James enjoyed chewing on the green beans.
He got tired of helping us, so he left to play.

Moving and Playing
James is working hard everyday at getting better and better at crawling. As of now we army crawl. When he takes a break he does get on all fours but has not yet figured out how to crawl that way. He is just so darn cute as he plays around now, and his new found movements.
And yes that is blue paint on his leg. We had some friends over who were painting outside, I really have no idea how James got some on his leg.

Bonneville dam
We are heading to Portland this weekend for the last time. Very sad about it, my parents have officially moved. The house is sold. We were heading over to loan our truck and Jon's muscles. On the way Jon informed me that he wanted to stop at Bonneville Dam. We thought the salmon might be running and he really wanted to see that. Turns out we were just a little to early. BUT we did love seeing all the fish. I was extremely disappointed to find that my favorite trout pond was closed. Oh well.
Sage loved seeing all the trout swimming around. She tried to get as close as she could. It would have been funny if one had bitten her.
Can you find the sturgeon in the picture??
Mommy and James
Sage really could not get enough of the fish!

Look its Batman!!
Since James has started slowly moving he is always trying. One day we were playing outside. Now he is a boy and sooner or later he would get a batman shirt, it was only a matter of time. So here is the first of many!!
We are also slowly learning how to hold our own bottle. Sometimes I think he is just to lazy to hold it himself :)
