Play Group

What do you do when a friend comes over?? Play in your sister highchair, and walk around awkward places while eating a snack. These two are like best friends... 

My Lovely's

James took a long nap, like 3 hours. Usually he does not wake up happy when he does this. 

Today was a different story. These two are already beginning to be best friends

James is 21 Months

I have stopped taking the monthly pictures of James. I guess I have also stopped doing his monthly updates. It is time I tell you a few things about James. 

1) His vocabulary is bursting at the seams. He is starting to say some pretty funny things. For example

"Die" = bye. He is trying to put words together and form sentences. Just about every morning Sage goes out (right, to do business). As soon as she comes in James says "poop, Sage". The other day James had a balloon and took it outside, he came running in saying "pop, pop Sage", meaning that Sage popped his balloon. If you don't catch it, James is really good at communicating things about Sage :)

2) He has almost all his teeth. At this moment his top canines are coming in. Besides his 2 year molars, he is only missing 2 on the bottom. 

3) He is not a real picky eater. In fact the other night he would eat what my mom ate, then would get mad that it was all gone. Hopefully he keeps up eating great!

4) He is very much an active boy. He loves jumping around, on things, and off things. He loves to skip (or do his version of it). He loves to kick the balls. He is awesome at throwing and starting to understand how to catch. 

5) He loves his Sissy very much. He is her protector. Anytime someone gets close he gets in between them, and pushes the other person away. He loves waking her up. Making sure she is happy. Will get her anything, even if we do not ask him to :) We are pretty darn lucky that he loves her so much. 

James is a joy, and we are so lucky to have him. He does give us grief some days, but the joy and happiness out number the grief by a land slide. I am so excited to watch him grow up into, hopefully a well behaved young man.

What a Day

We had such a fun and busy day! 

James had to kick Millie out of her Bumbo so that he could sit in it :)

We had Maely over for a bit, snack time

I decided to wash the carpets, so I had to move everything. James loved playing with the frame

Halloween

I did not think we would be celebrating Halloween this year. The night of our ward party the kids and I were not feeling good, so we missed that. For about two weeks before Halloween I would ask James if he wanted to try on his costume, he would yell "no" and run away. It was not so important to me that I would want a tantrum from it. 

 Well Halloween night came and we did force his costume on. He cried about a minute, and then was perfectly fine. He LOVED it. It did not take him to long to learn that when he knocked someone would give him candy. We will see how he does next year :) 

Millie fell asleep like 2 minutes in.

Mac N Cheese

What do you do with your mac n cheese? I bet it is not as cool as this... 

Millie is 5 Months Old

Millie is now 5 months old. She still loves laying on her back, but is starting to like her tummy a little more. She loves watching us, especially Sage. She still is being a great sleeper!! We are so lucky. She sleeps about 8 hours her first stretch and then another 3. She loves sitting upright. She loves to talk to us, and is starting to laugh a lot. She really gets going when you play peek-a-boo.We did start her on cereal, but then she started to get really gassy. She was having a hard time going potty (like she would cry for 3 hours while she was working on it).

We all love her. Especially James. Anytime someone else comes up to her, he runs over, stands between them, them pushes the other person away. He always wants to hold her, and get in her face and say "hi". Maybe she is loved to much (luckily that is not possible :)

Yes James is a little teary eyes. He just woke up from his Sunday nap :)

Windy Day

We had an extremely windy day today. BUT I had to wash some sheets, and of course I hung them out to dry ( I am not ready to give up my clothes line). James LOVED being outside. He loved running in the sheets and running in the wind. I know are days are numbered where he will have fun outside. I am not sure how either of us are going to survive when it gets to cold.

Park Day

My friend Jessica and I decided to take the kids to the park before the weather changes to much. James and Maely loved playing together, and are getting to be good friends. James loved the slide, the merry-go-round and following the big kids. Sadly these are the only pictures I was able to get.
