Badger Mountain Hike

My mom came up and surprised us for a short visit. We had a blast and loved chilling at home and playing with Grandma. We had already planned on hiking badger mountain, and she decided to hike it with us. It was a fun short hike. It was kind of cold, and they loved it!

We had our family pictures taken. It was amazing that they turned out. We did it right after nap time, they did not wake up happy. Right when we got there it started to rain. They were grumpy, cold and wet. But we still got some keepers!

Afternoon Get-a-way

It was a rare day that the kids didn't nap at the same time. Millie loves it! Its like she is queen of the house. Today she escaped outside with Sage and I found her, as soon as I got a picture I was spotted. She went back out and played in the sand with her. I remember when James used to do the same thing. They love having Sage around.

Morning Snack

This morning I was doing my chore and gave the kids a snack. I went to check on them and they disappeared. I found them sitting in James stuff animal drawer. I had no problem because they were together, and happy. 

Miss Independent

Millie loves learning new ways to be little miss independent. One way is always feeding herself, I really wouldn't mind if she could try and eat without getting so messy.

Oh Deer

Jon started this hunting season off right. He got a deer! We ended up not keeping the meat, because we hope to get a few elk this year, they gave to to someone in monument who needed it more then we did. 

Dressed Warm

It must have been cold for Millie this morning. She insisted on wearing her hat and coat while she ate breakfast. She could start a new fashion trend!

Sunglasses

Millie found James sunglasses today and insisted on wearing them. Which of course started a fight, so I grabbed Jon's sunglasses for James. They thought they were so cool, and would stand and laugh at each other, I wish I would have gotten it on video.

Love Lazy Mornings

We had a rough night, and this morning they kids were so cute sitting in the rocking chair, both drinking milk and watching a show. I love these cute moments!!

Pendleton Round-Up

This year my mom wanted to have the first Ussery Reunion. Well that got vetoed real quick, we had to call the it "the family gathering". She wanted to have it at the Pendleton Round-Up (in Pendleton :) It is a huge rodeo and cowboy gathering, it is even world-wide. We decided to stay in Hermiston which is about 30 minutes away, that is where we could find enough rooms for all of us. Garrett was not able to come, he had to work.

Friday we got up and first went to the McNary Dam in Hermiston to watch the fish ladders. James was in heaven!! The kids loved screaming and running from window to window cashing the fish. We loved spending our time outside watching fish, and playing Frisbee golf. After lunch we headed to Pendleton to see the street performers, and went to the children's museum to play, and walk around.

Friday we got up early and headed out to Pendleton for the parade. It was amazing! So many horses, tractors and Indians. The kids loved watching everyone go by. After we ate lunch at this amazing BBQ place. Then we went to the rodeo. Sadly it was too hot and Millie just wanted to walk around. I only got 1 video of the rodeo, but it was amazing! We headed home Friday night and the kids passed out on the way. It was a fast fun-filled weekend. We had a great time with our family and cant wait til next year!
