My mom orders Strawberries that come into Portland. It is a sweet deal for a great price you get a 30 gallon bucket of washed and cut strawberries. We ordered 2 :) Anyways mom asked if the kids and I would be willing to go with her. We meet her on I-84 and drove into Portland. I thought it would be great to stop at Bonneville Dam. It is about 45 minutes on the east side of Portland, and I thought the kids could use the walk. James Loved it!! Millie really enjoying running around. We had to stay at the fish for a long time, we got to feed them "dinner", and watch the BIG fish (sturgeon) in the fish house. By the Sturgeon there is a little house where you can view them. There were a lot of older people in there. James went up to each one and said "big fish". They laughed at us, but James wanted to make sure everyone knew there was a big fish :) We got to watch the shad run up the fish ladder and have lunch there. Just making it to Bonneville was worth the trip. Once we got back in the car both kids were out with in 10 minutes. We had to run some errands, we saw some friends and Uncle Garrett. Ate dinner and got to swim in the pool. Both kids did great, had loads of fun and were so tired.
Wednesday we had a slow start and had to pick up the strawberries, got some really good lunch and went back to Bonneville. We did not stay to long, long enough to run around and eat lunch. It was great to see my mom again and see how much James loved the fish!
